Did you know the UK has a new endemic species? Red Grouse used to be considered a subspecies of Willow Grouse however following on from recent research it is now considered a separate species and endemic to the UK. Unilike Willow Grouse, our Red Grouse does not turn white in winter, due to less snow cover than the habitat of its continental relative. Youwill be sure to see one on one of the many Grouse moors that surround our base here in Nethybridge.
