Why not join local wildlife expert and guide John Poyner on one of our new "Exclusive Bespoke Short Breaks". These are aimed to suite a couple or two singles only. No minibus groups or shared vehicles, your guide John Poyner is with you alone throughout the duration of the break. Travel in style by comfortable and roomy MPV, and enjoy the superior room accommodation at the four star Grant Arms Hotel in Grantown on Spey. This includes full use of all the facilities provided by the Birdwatching & Wildlife Club throughout your stay. Transfers from Inverness airport or local train stations are inclusive in the package. Over the three days will we visit a host of habitats from the Mountains to the Sea, secluded lochs, ancient forests and wild mooorland.
You may wish to extend your stay and do your own thing also to make the most of your trip to the Highlands, extra nights can be booked to suit.

John lives locally and has been working as a Bird & Wildlife Guide throughout the Highlands and Islands for 20 years, previously working for RSPB Scotland as an assistant warden and two of Scotland's leading wildlife tour companies. He now runs Highland Nature, and is Wildlife Guide for the BWWC at the Grant Arms Hotel. In any spare time, John also works as a freelance environmental consultant surveying upland birds for renewable energy developments.

By Car: Main roads are kept well cleared in Scotland in winter, local councils are well equipped and used to snow! Grantown is accessed via the main A9 north from Glasgow, a major trunk road.
By Train: Services daily to Aviemore from Kings Cross. We offer a free pick up and drop of service to Grantown.
