April Excursions

 Wednesday 8th & 15th Jan. & Sun 19th Jan : Black Grouse & Eagles Half Day. 

 The day starts at a local Black Grouse lek, then we head for the remote Glen of Strathdearn where we hope to find both Golden and White-tailed Eagles as well as other raptors. Red Deer should still be rutting on the hillsides too.

Cost £50pp. 8.00am-12.30pm Pick Up Grant Arms Hotel.   


Thursday 9th & 16th Jan. : The Magical Moray Firth

A day spent birding on the Moray Firth, where we will catch up with the wintering sea-duck this coast is so famous for. Long-tailed Ducks can number 1000s, Common and Velvet Scoter as well as all three Divers and Slavonian Grebes. We may even catch up with the regular King Eider, already reported several times this autumn.

Monday 13th & 20th Jan, Sun 12th Jan : Black Grouse at Dawn.

A dawn expedition in search of lekking Black Grouse!
Pick up 7.45 am return by 9.00 for a late breakfast! £20pp (4 places).



All Tours Pick Up 8.00am, Drop Off 5.00pm at the Grant Arms Hotel, Grantown on Spey (for Grant Arms Guests) unless otherwise stated. Other local pick up points available by request.

We realise a full day out in winter can get chilly, unlike other tour companies where a packed lunch is the norm we offer the option of taking a relaxing Cafe lunch, to give you chance to warm up a bit if you prefer. We have a selection of wonderful local cafes, personally selected, and not at all expensive. Of course, we do still provide hot drinks throughout the day also.
